I originally entered the financial world in 1992 when I got my first job at a stock brokerage firm. I was 21, dropped out of college and looking to move to California to pursue an acting career. I had it all mapped out. I just needed to make enough money to get there and the newspaper ad I read promised earnings of $10,000/month. This meant I could make it there quickly. Good thing most things don’t work out the way we plan because I would not be where I am today.

I run a full service small business consulting firm called Nerd Enterprises, Inc. One of the areas I have been working aggressively on growing is in the field of software training. Because of my background I teach a good deal of MS Excel and QuickBooks to my clients, however we are equipped to instruct in any MS Office Application as well as many others. Moreover we offer what I believe is fairly unique in that we are able to do webinar based classes and record them, sending the recording to you afterwards. You can play this recording in your flash player.

Moreover we can run these classes with YOUR screen shown and with you doing the work under our direction and control where it helps. Everyone learns better by actually doing it. The recording in turn enables you to increase your retention of the content by reviewing it as many times as you like at no additional cost. I found out that clients like the “no additional cost” part.

In addition we continue to offer consulting services in the areas of bookkeeping, accounting, and financial management. We have been especially successful of late at sitting with clients and helping to develop financial forecasts, budgets, or models for individuals and businesses.

This has become especially critical to clients in this recent, tough economy helping to clients to see where they are and where they can expect to be while weathering this economic storm. The software training comes back into context here since it is obviously much less expensive for clients if they can learn to do it themselves instead of paying someone like me to do it for them.
